This is one I did for a fanart contest on the SWTOR forums, and for those of you who don't know this is a Basilisk War Droid from the Tales of the Jedi and Knights of the Old Republic comics, and also made an appearance in the PS2 version fo the Force Unleashed. Wanted it to look something like a technical drawing, so it's rather flat.

This is supposed to be a Scout model as mentioned in a couple of places, with lighter armanments and a boost engine. Also added in a couple of things to make it seem lighter, for example omitted the heavy plating on the back and also made the claws seem lighter, and got rid of the rods on the front of it. Also, it's got a window and strobe lights if you can see it. Oh and the wings also are put on in reverse, figured the droid would need to slow down quicker than the heavier versions. :p

Medium: Pencils, artline markers, colour pencils. Minor edits in Photoshop.
Time: 7 hours.

Please note that Star Wars, Basilisk War Droid and anything related is a copyright of Lucasfilm limited and that I hold no rights to claim ownership of any of them. The image however is my property, so please don't go around claiming it's yours.

I can only repeat that I think you did a most impressive job here. The idea of a lighter Basilisk is great, and you made it work perfectly.

And of course, great detail, and a cool design of the Mando steering it as well. :horns:

Thank you again - I really apprieciate it. :D

The idea for the lighter Basilisk came from the History of the Mandalorians article from Insider, just never seen it in official sources or elsewhere.

Great job! :iconcorranfett: knows of which he speaks when he praises this--it looks wonderful: such great detailing and coloring--and truly, outside of it lacking an environment, it's very dimensional with the shading and volume you've given it. Well done!
